Guided walks - dams and crayfish
Join volunteers for a guided walk around the restored dams to learn about the restoration project and the role American signal crayfish played.

As part of Prior Park's activity for Invasive Species Week, our crayfish volunteers will be providing free guided walks.
During the walk you'll learn about the recent dams restoration project, particularly focussing on the damage caused by the American signal crayfish. They'll also talk about how the crayfish our managed today and what the restoration achieved to avoid future damage.
Plenty of time for questions as you stroll.

Guided walks are aimed at adults.
- Meeting point
Guided walks will start from the gazebo located by the lower lake (entrance to Prior Park is via the main entrance on Ralph Allen Drive).
- What to bring and wear
Dress for the outdoors and wear sensible footwear.
- Accessibility
Paths are steep and uneven in places.
- Other
Ticket time is 11am - 11.15am, please meet at the gazebo at 11am and the tour will start as soon as everyone has arrived, but no later than 11.15am. Guided walk will last approx. 45 minutes.
